I had heard this book entitled, "The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven" from Tyndale House Publishers, Inc., being promoted on the local Christian radio station one day, and was very moved by the related story. It is the story of a young man, Alex Malarkey, from Central Ohio who was nearly killed in an automobile crash, and the roller coaster-like journey he and his family have traveled since that day.

I am soon-to-be 50, and have never found the time, interest, or energy for that matter, to read any kind of books. My wife, on the other hand, has always been an avid reader, so I told her about the book thinking that she might be interested. When asked by our son and daughter-in-law what she would like for Christmas, she told them she would like this book, and they bought it for her.

After she read it, she suggested that I try a couple of chapters. After about a week of gentle encouragement from her, I begrudgingly opened the book and began to read. WOW!!! I found myself unable to put this book down! I read this book cover-to-cover (including the Acknowledgments and Introduction, which I had NEVER done) in 5 days!

I could not wait to get through the day and set by the bed at the end of the evening and read some more of the incredible story of how God has worked in the lives of this family. There is no doubt that this family is deeply and richly blessed by God on a daily basis, and I found myself being inspired by their story, as well. The last time that I read a complete book, I was a Freshman in high school, and was FORCED to read it for a Literature class.

This book has been able to ignite a fire inside of me that no other book has. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Thank you to my Son and Daughter-in-law, The Malarkeys, and Tyndale House Publishers for this gift you have each given me!
